Rules to Live by When Creating Your Own Pay Per Click Campaign
from:Deb St. George, Publisher, GettingToSuccess.com
While there are no hard and fast rules that must be followed at all times by all PPC campaigns there are a few rules that can help you make the most possible profit from the least possible time and money. Putting these rules to work for you can save you time, money, and a little bit (well maybe a lot) of sanity along the way.
Only Bid on Related Keywords.
This is such a simple sounding solution but you would be amazed at how many marketers bid on keywords that are somewhat removed from the products they are actually selling simply because those other keywords are cheap. Remember it is not about the quantity of clicks you get but the quality of those clicks that make pay per click campaigns so powerful. When you use carefully targeted keywords that are relative to the products you are selling you ware giving your visitors a taste of what is waiting for them on the other side of their click. Chances are good that they are interested in buying what you have to offer. If you aren't specific or at the very least relevant in your keyword selection it will be a crap shoot and quite frustrating for you and the buyer who really may not have any idea what it is that you are selling at this point in time.
Track Your Results
Tracking your results is your lifeline. It allows you to know what is going right and/or wrong within your pay per click campaign. It also allows you to know when the time has come to make changes. It is the mark of a good Internet marketer to know that there are times when you simply need to go back to the drawing board. It is always hopeful that every product or service you offer or promote will be a hit with all who come across it. This isn't always the case and tracking will let you know at the first sign of trouble rather than months from now when it may be too late to make those vital changes.
Focus on One Product at a Time
If you split your focus between too many products, especially in the product launch phase, something is going to fall through the cracks. If you really want to maximize your profit you need to devote all of your time and attention to the product you are attempting to launch rather than those that aren't even fully developed or properly planned at the moment. Beginning a new project before another one is off the ground would be foolish and may cost you the progress you've already made for better profits.
These words to live by can literally make or break your pay per click campaign. You do not need to feel lost in the woods for this important task. Find partners to work with and put the tips above to work for you both. You just might find that the difference it makes in profit is quite profound.
